INTO THE WOODS, SEVEN YEAR ITCH & More Set for New Village Arts' 10th Season

New Village Arts, Carlsbad's award-winning, professional theatre is very proud to announce its Tenth Season. This will be NVA's biggest season ever, with eight full productions, NVA's first musical and two local premieres. Over the past nine seasons, NVA has established itself as one of the most important mid-sized theatres in San Diego, producing over 40 highly acclaimed productions, including a world-premiere holiday show, multiple regional and local premieres, unforgettable American and world classics, the intense work of Sam Shepard and the popular FREE Shakespeare in the Park. New Village Arts honors that history in Season 10 and introduces some exciting new traditions for North County, by selecting shows that honor the history of the company, recognize the amazing current growth and give an intriguing glimpse into the future. All of the plays take us on an adventure - into growing up, learning about love and loss and celebrating the power of the human soul.

Teatro Zinzanni Presents RADIO FREE STARLIGHT Through 5/8

Teatro ZinZanni kicks of 2011 with an all-new show, Radio Free Starlight, playing now through May 8, 2011 at its magical spiegeltent at 222 Mercer Street. Teatro ZinZanni is a three-and-a-half hour whirlwind of cirque, cabaret and comedy all served up with a five-course gourmet dinner designed by celebrated Northwest chef Tom Douglas.

MUSEUM PLAY, BOYS IN THE BAND Featured in convergence-continuum's 2011 Season

convergence-continuum marks a milestone in its history. Its 2011 Season will be its tenth. The season includes a line-up of six shows, beginning with the opening of Valparaiso by Don DeLillo on March 18, and concluding with The Internationalist by Anne Washburn closing in December.

Five Artists Forge New Frontiers on DNA's RAW Directions

Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) will present the Winter 2011 installment of its most exploratory series, RAW Directions, February 10-12 in DNA's 130-seat theater. The program grants explorative opportunities to five emerging to mid-career artists with proven choreographic track records, wanting to carve out new avenues for their work. Artistic Advisor Colleen Thomas mentors this season's artists: Shani Nwando Ikerioha Collins Achille, Jordan Fuchs, Elisabeth Motley, Eunhee Lee and Scott Lyons.

Joan Cusak Joins Cast of New Showtime Series SHAMELES; Premieres 1/9

Academy Award(R)-nominated actress Joan Cusack has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's new one-hour drama series SHAMELESS. Cusack, who will appear in all 12 episodes of the new series, will play the role of Sheila, an agoraphobic Chicago housewife with a sexually active teenage daughter who strikes up a special friendship with William H. Macy's character, Frank Gallagher. Production on the first season begins in mid-September, with the series premiering on SHOWTIME, Sunday, January 9th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Showtime Holds Free Preview Weekend, 1/7

SHOWTIME(R) will be available in a record 61 million households for a Free Preview Weekend from Friday, January 7 through Monday, January 10. Viewers across the country will have the opportunity to sample the premium network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME HD(TM) and SHOWTIME On Demand(R). The Free Preview weekend will include the anticipated series premieres of two new SHOWTIME original series SHAMELESS and EPISODES, the fourth season premiere of CALIFORNICATION, the Showtime Sports mixed martial arts series STRIKEFORCE Challengers live from Nashville, and the premium television premiere of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.

TTC seeks a diverse cast, ages 16 and up, for this frighteningly fantastic, cult following romp directed by Billy Mitchell with musical direction is Tom Berger and choreography is Robert Gonzales Jr.
