The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced the line-up today for the 2019 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 57-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joseph Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community.

Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges, whose many distinguished performances have earned him seven Academy Award nominations, will be honored with the Board of Governors Award at the 33rd Annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement on February 9 at Hollywood & Highland's Ray Dolby Ballroom. 

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE presents the fourth show in its 98th season, four-time Emmy winner Michael Learned ('The Waltons') and Lance E. The historic Drexel Theatre today announced the lineup for its 2019 America's Greatest Films series, made possible through a generous gift from PNC Bank. Launched in 2017 as a thank you to the community, the series offers free screenings of some of the nation's most beloved classic films on the first Tuesday of each month with a pre-screening introduction and post-screening Q&A.

A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS – THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY will be broadcast Friday, Dec. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. dick clark productions announced today that Participant Media and DreamWorks Pictures' Green Book, directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali and Linda Cardellini, will receive both the “Hollywood Ensemble Award” and “Hollywood Screenwriter Award” at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards,” which will take place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton. The TIFF 2018 People's Choice Award winner is written by Peter Farrelly, Nick Vallelonga and Brian Currie and is inspired by a true friendship that in 1962 transcended race, class and the Mason-Dixon line.

Disney has released a new music video featuring Andrea Bocelli and his 20-year-old son Matteo Bocelli singing the beautifully poignant "Fall on Me" from the "Nutcracker and the Four Realms."

Walt Disney Records is set to release the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney's 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'on October 26. Composer James Newton Howard was tapped to create the score and it was recorded by The Philharmonia Orchestra in London with esteemed conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Featuring world-renowned pianist Lang Lang. Disney's holiday feature film 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms' opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 2.

CMT today revealed an all-star tribute to country legend and 2018 “Artist of a Lifetime” Award recipient, Loretta Lynn, featuring Sheryl Crow, Dierks Bentley and Martina McBride. The trio will perform LIVE from Nashville at the 9th annual “2018 CMT Artists of the Year” special on Wednesday, October 17 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Some of music's biggest stars are set to present at the event, including Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Smokey Robinson, singer-songwriter Elle King, Hillary Scott, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, along with a special introduction by platinum-selling artist, Trisha Yearwood. They all join previously announced presenter Sissy Spacek.
