David Parker and the Bang Group, a nationally renowned New York dance company, will visit Northwestern University?s Evanston campus for a weeklong residency April 26 to May 3. The group will be co-hosted by the School of Communication?s Dance Program and the New Movement Project, a student group that organizes campus dance events.

Alonzo King's LINES Ballet was founded in San Francisco in 1982, and has developed into a celebrated international touring company. This year touring began in February in Indianapolis, and was followed by 4 Hawaii cities continuing in March to Forli; Bolzano; and Civitanova, Italy then March 19-28 in Lyon, France for the Maison de la Danse, followed by Toulouse, and Arcachon, France.

Friends In Deed will present a legendary trio as Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka star in the first-ever New York presentation of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), the play will be presented in a special One Night Only staged reading benefit on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

This performance marks their debut at Massey Hall in Toronto on February 23, 2009. Lead by Deputy Directors Mr. Tian Zichun and Mr. Jianguo Yao, the National Acrobats of China's contribution to the international performing market for the Chinese acrobats has been great. It has performed in more than 30 countries such as Canada, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Roumania, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Mongolia, Italy, Austria, India, Laos, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Porto Rico, England, French, America, Singapore, Korea, Finland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.

On Thursday, March 5 at 8 pm, Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts will host the internationally famous National Acrobats of China in a breathtaking display of tumbling, spinning, dancing and death-defying feats. The performers in this remarkable company test the creative boundaries of the human body and the laws of gravity in a dazzling show that includes martial arts, traditional music, acrobatics, illusion and so much more.

The Joyce Theater regretfully announces that Jin Xing Dance Theatre will not be presented this season (originally scheduled for January 27 - February 1). Although The Joyce was excited and committed to present this company, the current financial crisis has forced Jin Xing's private sponsors - those responsible for financing this trip to the United States - to withdraw their commitment. And unfortunately, Jin Xing Dance Theatre does not have the financial resources to cover the budget of such an engagement. New dates have not yet been announced.

British actress Rebecca Hall was cast as jetsetting Caroline Cushing, one of the few women who might tame notorious lothario David Frost. Ex-wife of wealthy socialite Howard Cushing, she met Frost shortly before he met with Nixon to propose the interview series; Cushing remained his girlfriend for several years thereafter.
