IFC Debuts Two New Comedy Crib Digital Series in Time for Summer

Set in a private Catholic boarding high-school, Bare is a contemporary electric, confronting LGBT pop-rock musical with examines the struggles teenagers grapple with such as sexuality, identity and growing up. At its heart is the budding romance between Peter, who is formulating a plan on how and when to come out to his mother and Jason, who wants to hide their love away in fear of losing his position in the social ladder, as well as the respect from his classmates. These star-crossed lovers, coincidently, happen to be rehearsing a production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet at school, a script which enhances, as well as awakens, their own inner battles with themselves and their adolescent life. Thus, it makes it relevant in our contemporary political climate, in which love is not always accepted in all of its forms and for what it truly is; love.

New Dance Alliance is pleased to announce the lineup for the 32nd annual Performance Mix Festival. “The most elaborate festival of the unpredictable” (The New York Times), the 2018 edition brings together more than 30 artists with diverse approaches to performance, inviting audiences to engage with the unexpected and to experience some of the newest voices in experimental dance. This year's festival also includes Performance Mix's annual community breakfast, a free movement workshop, and other special events. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival invites audiences to enjoy two plays by William Shakespeare-plus one about saving his words and securing his legacy-under the stars when its flagship outdoor theatre opens the weekend of June 15-17, 2018. The Allen Elizabethan Theatre will feature Romeo and Juliet, directed by Damaso Rodriguez; Lauren Gunderson's The Book of Will, directed by Christopher Liam Moore; and Love's Labor's Lost, directed by Amanda Dehnert. Previews begin June 5, and all three shows will run through the weekend of October 12-14.
