Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presents Carousel, directed by Artistic Director Molly Smith, with music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Featuring Musical Direction by Paul Sportelli and Choreography by Parker Esse, Carousel runs October 28-December 24 in the iconic in-the-round Fichandler Stage. Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith and Executive Director Edgar Dobie, along with Zelda's family including sons Mark and Hal Fichandler, will host two public celebrations of Zelda's life on October 23 and 24, 2016 at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St., SW).

Good Theater, the professional theater company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, will kick off its 15th Anniversary Season with the Portland premiere of the 2013 Tony Award winning Best Play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang and directed by Good Theater's Artistic Director, Brian P. Allen  The show will begin on Wednesday October 19 and play for five weeks through Sunday November 20 for a total of 30 performances.

Chautauqua Theatre Company Wraps Up 33rd Season with TAMING OF THE SHREW

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Andrew Borba and Vivienne Benesch, brings its 33rd season to a close with William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Andrew Borba and featuring the outstanding talents of its entire 2016 Conservatory company onstage and off to produce this comedy masterpiece. The Taming of the Shrew plays August 12 - 19 on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution. Opening night is Saturday, August 13 at 6pm. Tickets are $35 and are currently on sale.
