The University of Washington School of Drama showcases the work of first year students in their Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) in the final show of their 2013-2014 season. Jean-Claude Grumberg's The Workroom is a stunning portrait of two male and six female laborers surviving in Paris after World War II. This challenging play presents the PATP students with an opportunity to broaden their dramatic acting skills as they relay the emotional story of eight survivors desperately trying to sew together the fragments of their severed post-war lives.

The UW School of Drama launches its winter quarter with Reading to Vegetables, a world premiere psychological thriller written by Northwest playwright EM Lewis. This is the third show in the 2013-2014 season and it offers the School of Drama MFA students an opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of working on a new play in collaboration with a playwright. The play is being helmed by second-year MFA directing candidate Tina Polzin.
