And, one of Broadway's hottest talents is helping to ensure that these adjectives are justified. The incomparably charming and charismatic Tony Award Winner Lena Hall, co-starring as Yitzhak, recently talked to me about her Tony win, HEDWIG, and her band, The Deafening.

Neil Patrick Harris officially returned to Broadway last night at the Belasco Theatre, in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed byMichael Mayer and featuring Lena Hall. Today we are talking to a Broadway leading lady making a major mark in the gender-bending role of Yitzhak in the new Broadway production of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's masterful rock musical HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH starring Neil Patrick Harris, the affable and idiosyncratically alluring Lena Hall. Discussing sharing the stage with NPH in the raucous and wild rock showpiece, Hall offers a vivid view of her participation in the Broadway iteration of the cult hit - ranging from polishing her vocals for a cover of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" to donning a prosthetic penis and much more. Additionally, Hall opens up about the larger themes of the prescient and timely musical, as well as shares her affection for the rock, pop and punk sound the score so evocatively emulates and recreates. On that note, Hall also sheds some light on her other ongoing endeavor, as lead singer of the band The Deafening, and shares some of her favorite songs to sing at gigs around town - including an upcoming show at Arlene's Grocery later this week. It was a storybook night of your favorite fairy tales as more than 200 of New York's sexiest dancers brought BROADWAY BARES XXII: HAPPY ENDINGS to life for two performances (9:30 PM and midnight) on Sunday, June 17. The Huffington Post reports that a host of celebrity guest stars will be visiting the CBS drama series THE GOOD WIFE for its fourth season. Included on the roster will be Dallas Roberts, Ankia Noni Rose, Michael J. Fox, T.R. Knight, Maura Tierney, Nathan Lane, Amanda Peet, Miriam Shor, Stockard Channing and Rita Wilson.

As BroadwayWorld first reported, a reading is currently taking place for SOAP DISH THE MUSICAL, directed by Rob Ashford, with a book by Robert Harling, music by George Stiles and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe. The cast of includes Kristin Chenoweth, John Stamos, Jane Krakowski, Cristin Milioti, Anne L. Nathan, Michael Park, Miriam Shor and Daniel Torres. At this time there has been no formal announcement, or set timetable for the show. The reading is being presented by Laurence Mark, Donald De Line and Broadway Across America. According to Entertainment Weekly, Stockard Channing will play Julianna Marguiles' character Alicia's 'mercurial' mother in CBS's The Good Wife, season four. Channing will appear in at least one episode.
