Frantic Assembly today announced the full casting for I Think We Are Alone, a major new play by Sally Abbott (The Coroner, Vera), co-directed by Kathy Burke (Lady Windermere's Fan, The Retreat) and Scott Graham (Fatherland, Things I Know to be True). The work will premiere at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 3rd February and tour to venues including Theatre Royal Stratford East, The Lowry, Nuffield Southampton, Bristol Old Vic, and Leicester's Curve in Spring 2020. The production sits at the centre of a year of programming celebrating 25 years of Frantic Assembly.
Hint of Lime Productions is delighted to present five plays at the inaugural Nomad Film and Theatre Festival, a mini touring festival visiting The New Forest, Greenwich, Newhaven and Buxton over the late spring and summer. Hint of Lime will join the Nomad Festival in Greenwich with The Very Perry Show, the 2017 Best Comedy Award winner at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York, making a sole Nomad Festival appearance on 9 June, the five star reviewed Are There More of You? written and performed by Alison Skilbeck on 13 June in Greenwich, 20 June in Newhaven and 20 July in Buxton, the mysterious thriller A Substitute For Life by Simon Brett, and the five star reviewed The Power Behind The Crone, both in Greenwich on 14 June, in Newhaven on 21 June and Buxton on 21 July. The company is joined by four-star reviewed "Author, Composer, Soldier-of-a-sort" written and performed by Jan Carey in Buxton on 5-7 July.
The hosts of the next Waitress London Cast Album Karaoke Night have been announced today. Laura Baldwin, who plays Dawn in the show, will host the post-show event alongside actress Chizzy Akudolu (Holby City, Strictly Come Dancing) on Wednesday 8 May. Audience members can sign up before the show for the chance to sing one minute of any song from Waitress - live on stage at the Adelphi and accompanied by the show's musical director Katharine Woolley.

The Season will open on 2 March with the UK premiere of a new version of the Stephen Schwartz musical RAGS. From 15 January 2018 Ruby Stokes (13-years old from Hampshire) will be joined by Isobel Khan (11 years old from Wakefield) and Agatha Meehan (10 years old from York) who will share the title role of Annie. The kids cast will also welcome Molly May Gibson (11 years old from Kent), Hannah Hutchins (13 years old from Bromley) and Amelie Green (10 years old from London) who join the three teams of young performers who play the girls in Miss Hannigan's orphanage.
Last night (30 November 2017), the West End Company of Annie officially welcomed Meera Syal who now plays the role of Miss Hannigan in the hit musical at the Piccadilly Theatre. Syal celebrated with friends and family, including Lolita Chakrabarti, Sean Foley, Nitin Ganatra, Twiggy and Leigh Lawson and Nicola Walker, as well as fellow cast members. Syal will play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.
