The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present a staged reading of the new musical, Moonshine and Mistletoe, with concept, book and direction by DJ Salisbury, additional songs by David Lutken and Mr. Salisbury, and concept and arrangements by Larry Moore for one performance only on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
Deni Rutland has spent a lifetime trying to escape her dysfunctional family, with little success. Now, on the occasion of her 40th birthday, she is making one last attempt at freedom. Little Shop of Horrors, the stage and screen musical that has circled the globe for over 30 years, consuming audiences with chills, thrills and laughter, arrived Monday night at Feinstein's/54Below. One unprecedented evening brought together performers from the original production through the Broadway revival for stories told, reminiscences shared, and songs sung.
