Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the third round of the 2016 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. 'I always thought the 1920's was an interesting and important time for women. We finally got the vote in 1920-after only petitioning Congress for a little over a hundred years. And then hemlines went up and stockings rolled down, brazen witness to the fact the modern woman-gasp-wasn't wearing a corset. The road to equality was a long one and it started back then.'
