The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin previews for Craig Lucas' THE SINGING FOREST on Friday, April 10. Directed by Mark Wing-Davey, THE SINGING FOREST will run through Sunday, May 17 with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 28 at 7 PM.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced today that the first preview of Craig Lucas' THE SINGING FOREST has been moved to Friday, April 10 due to the need for additional technical rehearsals. Directed by Mark Wing-Davey, THE SINGING FOREST was scheduled to begin previews on Tuesday, April 7 and open on Monday, April 27. The show will now open on Tuesday, April 28 at 7 PM.

Richard Chamberlain Wears King Arthur's Crown In SPAMALOT

RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN will wear the crown of King Arthur when he takes the Atlanta stage March 17 - 22 in Monty Python's SPAMALOT at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, presented by the new Atlanta Broadway Series. Chamberlain became a household name overnight in 1961 when he played the title role of Dr. Kildare, a part he played for five years. Over the last two decades, Chamberlain has starred in six of the most acclaimed mini-series: 'Shogun,' 'Wallenberg,' 'The Thornbirds,' 'The Bourne Identity,' 'Dreamwest,' and 'Centennial.' 'Shogun' earned Chamberlain a Golden Globe Award as Best Actor, as well as an Emmy nomination. He received another Golden Globe Award, Emmy nomination, and a People's Choice Award for his work in 'The Thornbirds.'

Riverspace will roll out the red carpet and welcome celebrated director Mike Nichols on Friday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m. This rare appearance brings Mr. Nichols together with Riverspace Co-artistic Director Elliott Forrest for a fundraiser as part of the Conversation Series. U.S. Congressman Eliot Engel will introduce Nichols. One of the few distinguished artists to have won every major American award - an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award - Mike Nichols is a television, stage and film director, writer and producer. His career began as part of the incredibly influential 'Nichols and May' comedy team, with partner Elaine May. His illustrious film career began when he directed Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
