Tickets for Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the hilarious, smash hit Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005, will go on sale Friday, February 27. Monty Python's SPAMALOT will make its California premiere in San Francisco and will feature television star John O'Hurley. John O'Hurley is best known for his role as 'J. Peterman' in the hit television comedy 'Seinfeld' and currently hosts the popular game show 'Family Feud.' Monty Python's SPAMALOT will play the Golden Gate Theatre beginning Friday, May 22 through Sunday, July 5. Monty Python's SPAMALOT is presented as a part of the 2008-2009 Citibank Best of Broadway series season under the direction of Carole Shorenstein Hays.

Friends In Deed has announced that famed author Fran Lebowitz has joined the upcoming One Night Only staged reading benefit of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. She will take the stage with fellow legends Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka in the first-ever New York presentation of the play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), which will be presented on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced today that the 2009 Summer Gala will honor entertainment executive and longtime board member Susan Lyne and acclaimed director Mike Nichols for their outstanding commitment to the institution. The Gala will take place on Thursday, June 25 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on the opening night of TWELFTH NIGHT, the first production of the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park summer season.

To help celebrate our 20th season, BLUEBARN THEATRE will revive our 2001 award-winning play, Wit, which opens March 19 and runs through April 11, 2009. BLUEBARN founding member, Kevin Lawler, returns to direct the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, with Phyllis Doughman recreating the role that won her rave reviews, as well as a Theatre Arts Guild Award for Best Actress. The BLUEBARN's 2008 production will also feature local theatre veterans, Melissa Jarecke, Mary Kelly, Benjamin Beck, Paul Schneider, Jennifer McGill, Chris Elston, Eric Grant-Leanna, and Danielle Smith.

Richard Chamberlain Wears King Arthur's Crown In SPAMALOT

RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN will wear the crown of King Arthur when he takes the Atlanta stage March 17 - 22 in Monty Python's SPAMALOT at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, presented by the new Atlanta Broadway Series. Chamberlain became a household name overnight in 1961 when he played the title role of Dr. Kildare, a part he played for five years. Over the last two decades, Chamberlain has starred in six of the most acclaimed mini-series: 'Shogun,' 'Wallenberg,' 'The Thornbirds,' 'The Bourne Identity,' 'Dreamwest,' and 'Centennial.' 'Shogun' earned Chamberlain a Golden Globe Award as Best Actor, as well as an Emmy nomination. He received another Golden Globe Award, Emmy nomination, and a People's Choice Award for his work in 'The Thornbirds.'

Riverspace will roll out the red carpet and welcome celebrated director Mike Nichols on Friday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m. This rare appearance brings Mr. Nichols together with Riverspace Co-artistic Director Elliott Forrest for a fundraiser as part of the Conversation Series. U.S. Congressman Eliot Engel will introduce Nichols. One of the few distinguished artists to have won every major American award - an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award - Mike Nichols is a television, stage and film director, writer and producer. His career began as part of the incredibly influential 'Nichols and May' comedy team, with partner Elaine May. His illustrious film career began when he directed Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. That was followed by the iconic film The Graduate for which he won an Oscar for Best Director. Some of Mr. Nichols' other film credits include Carnal Knowledge. Catch-22, Charlie Wilson's War, The Odd Couple and Silkwood; television credits include Angels in America and Wit and Broadway shows include Barefoot in the Park, Hurlyburly, Spamalot and The Gin Game.

LCT's production of HAPPINESS has announced partial casting. HAPPINESS, is a new musical about a disparate group of New Yorkers caught on a subway train under unusual circumstances. It was commissioned and developed by Lincoln Center Theater.
