Meet the Cast of JAGGED LITTLE PILL- Now in Previews on Broadway!

You oughtta know that Jagged Little Pill is officially in preview son Broadway!  The new musical is inspired by the themes and raw emotions laid bare in Alanis Morissette's seminal album of the same name. The Healys appear to be a picture-perfect suburban family - but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community, and the world around them.

Ethan Davidson Named Chairman Of Michigan Opera Theatre

Michigan Opera Theatre (MOT) announced today the election of Ethan Davidson as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees. Davidson succeeds Rick Williams, who has served as Chairman for the past 17 years. Williams announced earlier this year that he would not stand for re-election. The transition, which will include a restructuring of the board, will take effect at the upcoming Annual Meeting Nov. 14.

Michigan Opera Theatre (MOT) is adding Michael Ching's a?oeBuoso's Ghosta?? as a second opera to its a?oeGianni Schicchia?? performances Feb. 29 a?" March 1. The work is a sequel to Giacomo Puccini's a?oeGianni Schicchi,a?? often nicknamed the a?oeSchiquel.a?? Both works are one-act comedies and will be performed by the resident artists of the Michigan Opera Theatre Studio. a?oeBuoso's Ghosta?? premiered in 1996 in Pittsburgh, 78 years after its predecessor.

Michigan Opera Theatre Names Jon Teeuwissen New Artistic Advisor for Dance

Michigan Opera Theatre (MOT) has named Jon Teeuwissen as its new Artistic Advisor for Dance. In the newly-created role, Teeuwissen will program MOT's dance season, expand upon the company's current community engagement initiatives and increase or strengthen collaborative relationships within the industry.

San Francisco Opera announces Canadian soprano Andriana Chuchman as the winner of the 2019 Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Emerging Stars Competition. Chuchman made her Company debut as Mary Hatch in Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer's It's a Wonderful Life last fall and was named a?oe2019 Emerging Star of the Yeara?? based on a popular vote conducted online at sfopera.com from July 9a?"July 31, 2019. As winner of the competition, now in its fourth year, Chuchman receives a $10,000 cash prize.

Tickets To UMS's 2019/20 Season Go On Sale Wed August 7

Tickets to individual performances on the University Musical Society's 141st season will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Atlanta Opera Celebrates Record-Breaking 2018-19 Season

The Atlanta Opera broke new records this season. Even before its final presentation Francesca Zambello's new take on La traviata, which closed this past weekend 2018-19 was already guaranteed to be the company's highest-grossing season of the past decade, highlighted by last fall's West Side Story, the highest-selling production in the Atlanta Opera's 39-year history (Opera News).

Utah Opera Presents A Semi-Staged Concert Version Of Bellini's NORMA

Utah Opera presents a night of thrilling music and dramatic narrative with Vincenzo Bellini's "Norma," in a semi-staged production at Abravanel Hall on May 4 at 7:30 PM and May 6 at 7 PM. This new production of "Norma,", created by Utah Opera's Costume Shop and Scenic Studios, will feature costumes designed by Season 12 "Project Runway" finalist Bradon McDonald, and projected images and video designed by Greg Emetaz. Crystal Manich will direct the production, and Stephen Lord will conduct the Utah Symphony. Due to renovations of the historic Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, Utah Opera's performances of "Norma" will take place in Abravanel Hall." THE ELEPHANT MAN Announced At Raue Center

Williams Street Repertory, McHenry County's growing professional theatre company, is excited to announce its upcoming production of Bernard Pomerance's 'The Elephant Man' at Raue Center For The Arts. This moving drama based on the life of John Merrick opens on May 3, 2019 and runs select dates through May 19, 2019.
