Michelle Williams is back on Broadway, and this time she is taking on a character whose story would make Sally Bowles' life seem like a picnic. She currently stars opposite Jeff Daniels as 'Una' in BLACKBIRD, a role that earned her a nomination (Best Perfrmance by Actress in a Leading Role in a Play). Just In! The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2015-16 season in 25 categories.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld.com have partnered for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen.

Now that this year's TONY nominees have been revealed, it's time for the honorees to chose their fashion for the big night.

Who really cares about spring? Awards season has arrived- the only time of the year that really matters to Broadway fans everywhere. The 2016 Tony nominees were announced earlier this week, with a record 16 nods going to HAMILTON, and show like SHUFFLE ALONG, SHE LOVES ME and LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT also picking up a considerable amount of recognition. Just yesterday the nominees flocked to the Paramount Hotel, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news. At 8:30 AM tomorrow morning will be the announcement of the nominations for this year's Tony Awards! The announcements will be made by Tony nominee Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon; HBO's Girls) and Tony Award winner Patina Miller (Pippin; CBS' Madam Secretary). Just this morning, Something Rotten and Spotlight star Brian d'Arcy James along with this season's break-out and genuflecting sensation Jennifer Simard from Broadway's Disaster announced the The Outer Critics Circle nominees for the 2015-16 season from New York's legendary Algonquin Hotel (59 W 44th Street.)  Outer Critics Circle nominations are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season.

Michelle Williams is currently in talks to join fellow Broadway veteran Julianne Moore in Todd Haynes' next film, WONDERSTRUCK.

The Fred Ebb Foundation, in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company, will present the twelfth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters.  Applications for the award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be accepted from June 1- 30, 2016.  The winner will be selected in November of 2016.  Eligibility criteria and Application forms can be found at the foundations website: www.fredebbfoundation.org.
