There was a National Tour of CABARET, and there was a theatre called the Benedum Center in a city called Pittsburgh. In this Roundabout Theatre Company production, resembling the 2014 Broadway revival starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams, the stage is metaphorically and literally a frame story, bordered and illuminated by lights with a superposed picture frame hung in the center. But this picture frame, seemingly beautiful along the boarders, hangs crooked to perfectly accent the actors' and show's message.

Sundance Institute's feature film lineup for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival features the highly anticipated narratives, documentaries, episodic work and events in the Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Spotlight, Sundance Kids and Special Events sections. The Festival takes place today, January 21, through January 31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Sundance and Ogden, Utah.

On Thursday, January 21 at 8PM, Jai Rodriguez presents his new show, 'Tales of An Aging Twink' at Martinis Above Fourth. He calls this show 'the R-rated GLEE version of his life.' Rodriguez, best known for his role as the culture guide on Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, is also a well-known Broadway singer/actor and TV/movie performer. Happy New Year, BroadwayWorld! As we eagerly anticipate the amazing musicals and plays coming up in 2016, we're taking a moment to look back at the significant Broadway closings of 2015.

David Harrower's BLACKBIRD, the Olivier Award-winning drama, starring Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams, is coming to Broadway.  The production, to be directed by Joe Mantello, will begin previews Friday, February 5, and open Thursday, March 10, at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). BLACKBIRD will play an 18-week limited engagement through June 12, 2016. Check out photos of the marquee below!

Randy Harrison, best known for his portrayal of Justin in the Showtime drama 'Queer as Folk,' will step into the role of the Emcee while Andrea Goss, a veteran of Roundabout's CABARET on Broadway will return to the role of Sally Bowles when the tour premieres in Providence, RI at the Providence Performing Arts Center with performances beginning Tuesday, January 26.

As part of Roundabout Theatre Company's 50th Anniversary Season, Broadway In Chicago and Roundabout Theatre Company have announced casting for the national tour of Sam Mendes (Spectre, American Beauty) and Rob Marshall's (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) Tony Award-winning production of CABARET.  Individual tickets for the Chicago premiere of Roundabout Theatre Company's CABARET will go on sale Friday, December 11.  CABARET will play Broadway In Chicago's newly named The PrivateBank Theatre (18 West Monroe) for a limited two-week engagement February 9 - 21, 2016.

This tour ofCABARET marks Roundabout Theatre Company's third production on the road, having previously produced the critically acclaimed tours of Twelve Angry Men and Anything Goes.
