Good to Go Entertainment has announced the reading of their inaugural project the new musical Motel Rasdell - a new musical by Danielle DeMatteo (music and lyrics) and Chrisina Bracco (book) will take place in New York City today, January 22nd under the direction of Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot). Broadway's Felicia Finley (Mamma Mia, The Wedding Singer), Sara Schmidt (Jersey Boys) and Tracy McDowell (Rent) are among those who will be participating.
Award-winning composer Jeremy Schonfeld (Drift, 37 Notebooks) has announced that Broadway's own Titus Burgess (Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid), Adam Kantor (Rent) and Morgan James (Godspell, Motown) are many performers from the worlds of Broadway, television and music who will take the stage with him for the one night only event "JEREMY SCHONFELD & THE BROADWAY MESSIAHS" on Monday January 28th at the newly re-designed Cutting Room recently reopened at its new location (44 East 32nd Street, New York, NY) at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM).

The Cabaret for a Cause series continues tonight, July 15th. Tickets are a cash donation of your choice at the door to raise money for the new musical Born Blue, which benefits St Jude Children's Research Hospital. The concert takes place at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street Doors open at 8 pm. Plus, show memorabilia will be auctioned off, including items from performances of RENT and Hair.

Comedy Club (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. The festival is a joint project of the Southern, McNally Smith College of Music, New Amsterdam Records, History Theatre, Minnesota Public Radio, Invisible Button Entertainment and the Walker Art Center.

Actress/Singer Michelle Kinney has been named host of a series of preliminary competitions for The Karaoke World Championships in New York City. Kinney (Rockers on Broadway, Drift), will host prelims for the world wide competition at Manhattan nightspot The Watering Hole (106 east 19th street). Preliminary competitions will be held on March 2nd, 9th, 23rd, and 30th at 8 pm at the Union Square venue. Contestants will be eliminated each week, with weekly winners being advanced to a finals round at The Watering Hole on April 13th. 1 male and 1 female finalist will advance to a state wide competition. Winners can potentially progress to the World Karaoke Championship finals in Killarney, Ireland in September. In addition, regional winners will be featured on the upcoming ABC television series 'America's Karaoke Challenge'.

Broadway stars and Rock stars joined the audience to dance the night away when Rockers on Broadway returned to BB Kings Blues Club last night, November 8th. Directed by Donnie Kehr, ROCKERS ON BROADWAY-Dance Party featured some of the hottest dance tunes from Elvis to GaGa, performed by Broadway stars and the Rock stars who made them famous. The concert benefits Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Dreams Foundation, Broadway in South Africa, and The Bendheim Performing Arts Center Scholarship Fund.
