James Earl Jones to be Honored at American Theatre Wing's 2015 Gala

The American Theatre Wing is pleased to announce that its annual Gala, to be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South), will honor legendary actor James Earl Jones. Mr. Jones is a two-time Tony Award winner, two-time Obie Award winner and alumnus of the American Theatre Wing Professional School. CeCe Black, Anki Leeds, and Marva Smalls will serve as Gala Chairs.

The Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts 2014-2015 Recital Series begins with a performance by Crystal Award-winning pianist Sean Chen at Pepperdine University at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 19. Due to popular demand, this performance has been moved from Raitt Recital Hall to the larger Smothers Theatre.

RABBIT HOLE, a David Lindsay-Abaire opus, presents a story about a wife, Becca, and her family, struggling to get past the loss of Danny, Becca's son, who was killed when he was hit by a car. Red Turnip Theater does not "squeeze blood" from this play, but it definitely paints the turnip red. Red Turnip Theater brings an intimate take on this acclaimed play. Despite some not-so-good things written below, RABBIT HOLE, surely, is an experience!
