As the Winter Gardens Blackpool today celebrates its 140th anniversary, plans have been unveiled revealing a partnership between global producers Selladoor Worldwide and operators Blackpool Entertainment Company to bring a fresh lease of creative life to the historic Pavilion Theatre, based within the grade 2* listed venue. During this joint venture, Selladoor Worldwide will lead on programing the space with both produced and received work, whilst Winter Gardens Blackpool will focus on the renovations to save and restore the theatre back to its full former glory for future generations to enjoy.
Naperville's Summer Place Theatre is proud to present FOOTLOOSE! The Musical, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford. Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Clarke Thorell will assume the role of Zoltan Karparthy in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY beginning Tuesday, June 26 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the stars of Netflix's hit QUEER EYE, Tan France, is set to release a memoir. France is THE RESIDENT fashion expert on the uber successful reboot of the hit series, which dropped back in February. The book will be published via St. Martin's Press. France joins his other QUEER EYE star Antoni Porowski as the second of the fab five to nab a book deal. Porowski is set to release a cookbook. Read more about the news from Entertainment Weekly here!
