Written for teens and performed by teens, this full-length musical is from the writing team of Julie Soto (book & lyrics) and Will Finan (music) and is directed by Ryan Warren.

New York Theatre Ballet's Cinderella at Florence Gould Hall March 2, 2014, 3:30pm is another delightful flower in their garden of wonderful children's ballets.
Delaware County resident Jim Conte has been enjoying what he refers to as his 'encore career' as a character actor the last few years. He's been known as Oz and Father Virgil Trott at The Media Theatre but will now have a name known only if you are able to answer a very important riddle!
In keeping with the Halloween season, and in distinct contrast to the serious tone of New Line's brilliant Night of the Living Dead, we have Stray Dog Theatre's lively production of EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL, a campy gorefest based on filmmaker Sam Raimi's Evil Dead trilogy. The first two films are audacious and nutty 'cabin in the woods' tales spiced with bravura camera work and copious amounts of blood and guts. The third movie sends our hero, Ash, back to medieval times to fight an Army of Darkness. This musical version combines elements taken from all three flicks, emphasizes the 'splat-stick' aspects of all of them, and adds a fairly catchy rock and roll score (book writer and lyricist George Reinblatt with a number of composers) to the mix. It's a dizzying, but enjoyable ride that, thankfully, never lets the foot off the gas.
In TWO ROOMS, Chris DeVinny plays Michael Wells, a University Educator taken hostage in Beirut during the Lebanese hostage crisis of the 1980s. It is the first role to hit this close to home for him. Though his character, Michael, is a civilian, he is faced with many of the same fears, horrors and questions that Chris either experienced, or witnessed first hand over his deployment. And which also gave him greater perspective on this volatile region.

The Media Theatre is thinking pink for three months. Each weekend from now through May 25, 'Pinkalicious, The Musical' will be entertaining audiences ages 4 and up. The off-Broadway hit makes its Delaware County debut at The Media Theatre, the first theatre in the region to produce the show.
While on my way to catch Balagan's new production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" at the Moore Theatre, I couldn't help but think back to the Nick Garrison production a few years back that was such a huge hit and amounted to a kind of theatrical religious experience for those that saw it including myself. And while I didn't get so much of a Hedwig stigmata from this production (possibly due to the fact I was already born again once so to speak and to be born again, again is just greedy) but I can say that this production is near flawless and completely showcases the true star power of its Hedwig, Jerick Hoffer.
