BEND IN THE ROAD, a new musical comedy, is an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's (NYMF) 2013 Next Link Project. The entire run sold out so quickly that NYMF recently announced that the production will play a special added performance on Thursday, July 25that 1PM. Under the direction of Benjamin Endsley Klein, the 14-member cast of BEND IN THE ROAD features Alison Woods (THE FANTASTICKS, 'Big Love') as Anne Shirley, Martin Vidnovic (OKLAHOMA!, THE KING AND I, GUYS AND DOLLS, BRIGADOON, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, BABY), Jordan Barrow, Mimi Bessette (THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, BONNIE AND CLYDE), Brandon Essig, Kasie Gasparini, Justine Huxley (MAX AND RUBY), Anne Kanengeiser (RAGTIME, LITTLE WOMEN), Kevin Ligon (KISS ME, KATE, THE SECRET GARDEN), CJ Pawlikowski, Maureen Silliman (SHENANDOAH, I REMEMBER MAMA), Chelsea Stavis, Rachel Weintraub ('Saturday Night Live'), and Whitney Winfield(SHREK).

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents Tony nominee Martin Vidnovic and Kevin Ligon (Sister Act, The Producers) in Bend In The Road beginning July 18 at the PTC Performance Space.

BEND IN THE ROAD, a new musical comedy, is an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's (NYMF) 2013 Next Link Project. The shows stars, Martin Vidnovic and Alison Woods, recently caught a performance of the world's longest-running musical THE FANTASTICKS at the Snapple Theater Center. Both have strong ties to the show as Martin starred as Bellomy in this current revival and he played El Gallo in the original Sullivan Street Playhouse production in the 1970s. And Alison was selected by director Jason Alexander to play the leading role of Luisa in his all-star production of THE FANTASTICKS at Reprise with Eric McCormack and Lucas Grabeel. Benjamin Endsley Klein directs a cast of 14 including Alison Woods (THE FANTASTICKS) as Anne Shirley, Jordan Barrow, Mimi Bessette (BONNIE AND CLYDE), Brandon Essig, Kasie Gasparini, Justine Huxley (MAX AND RUBY), Anne Kanengeiser (RAGTIME), Kevin Ligon (SISTER ACT), CJ Pawlikowski, Maureen Silliman (PICTURES IN THE HALL), Chelsea Stavis, Martin Vidnovic (GUYS AND DOLLS, FOOTLOOSE, THE KING AND I, OKLAHOMA!, BABY, BRIGADOON), Rachel Weintraub (“Saturday Night Live”), and Whitney Winfield (SHREK).

Completing the programming for the 10th annual New York Musical Theatre Festival, NYMF announced several additional concerts, a series of educational workshops, and a "Musicals on Television" screening series in partnership with the Paley Center for Media. This year's Festival will begin July 8th and continue through July 28th. Single tickets are currently on sale.

Bend in the Road, a new family musical based on Anne of Green Gables, has been set for a limited engagement at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre (upstairs at The Pasadena Playhouse) in Pasadena.
