Disney Junior's New Series SHERIFF CALLIE'S WILD WEST to Debut 1/20

'Sheriff Callie's Wild West,' the first Western for preschoolers, will make its television debut on the 24-hour Disney Junior channel on MONDAY, JANUARY 20 (5:00 p.m., ET/PT). The series is slated to premiere on Disney Channel in spring. An 11-minute preview episode will air as part of Disney Junior's 'Magical Holidays on Disney Channel' programming event Friday, December 13 (8:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:20 p.m., ET/PT). Mandy Moore (Disney's 'Tangled') stars as the voice of Sheriff Callie.

Award-winning hip hop poet Marc Bamuthi Joseph's powerful Word Becomes Flesh returns to Chicago, re-invented with an ensemble cast from a new generation, in a one-night-only performance, at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts Performance Hall at the University of Chicago, 915 E. 60th Street, tonight, August 6, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring a series of performed letters to an unborn son, Word Becomes Flesh uses spoken word, dance and live music to document nine months of pregnancy from a young single father's perspective.

Lee Strasberg Institute and the Clifford Odets Ensemble Present LOVELAB, Now thru 12/8

The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (www.strasberg.com) will present LOVELAB by playwright Lila Feinberg, who is the first recipient of The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission. The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission is an annual playwriting commission that encourages early career playwrights to write plays for large ensembles of emerging actors.
