DOCTOR ZHIVAGO Will Resume Performances on Broadway Tonight

DOCTOR ZHIVAGO will be back on Broadway duty tonight, April 3, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Following the cancellation of last night's preview due to leading man Tam Mutu's illness, performances will officially resume tonight at the Broadway Theatre with Mutu's understudy, Bradley Dean, in the role of Yurii Zhivago.

DOCTOR ZHIVAGO Cancels Tonight's Preview; Tam Mutu Out Due to Illness

Broadway World has just learned that tonight's preview performance new Broadway musical Doctor Zhivago has been cancelled. A show representative confirmed: 'Tam Mutu is out of the show due to illness. With less than a week of preview performances to date, there has not been time to prepare the understudy. Performances will resume tomorrow, Friday, April 3rd at 8pm. Tickets for tonight's performance can be exchanged at point of purchase.'

Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, the highly anticipated new Broadway musical DOCTOR ZHIVAGO begins performancetomorrow, Friday, March 27, and has announced a '$35 Under 30' rush ticket policy for the new musical that will officially open on Tuesday, April 21 at theBroadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). A limited number of $35 tickets (inclusive of $2 facility fee) for patrons ages 30 and under will be available for each performance when the box office opens for that day's performance (s) with valid photo identification. Patrons are limited to two tickets per person.

STC & Barking Gecko Theatre Company to Present STORM BOY

The 2013 production of Colin Thiele's Storm Boy, adapted for the stage by Tom Holloway in a co-production by Sydney Theatre Company (STC) with Perth's Barking Gecko Theatre Company, returns by popular demand to STC (opening 25 April) followed by an extensive tour to Wollongong, Geelong, Canberra, Mandurah and Perth. Directed by John Sheedy, the play follows Storm Boy as he roams the beautiful, savage landscape of wave-beaten shores and windswept dunes, picking up some unlikely friends along the way, among them the enigmatic Fingerbone Bill and a family of orphaned pelicans, including his favourite, Mr Percival.
