When she was 13 years old, Anne Frank, like many young girls, received a diary for her birthday.  More than 70 years later, the diary she kept is read in classrooms around the world, produced as movies, plays and musicals.   This spring, Half Moon Theatre proudly presents a play based on Anne's diary called Yours, Anne.  The play has a limited run of two weekends at The Culinary Institute of America's Marriott Pavilion.  

The new musical, Hit Her with the Skates, by Christine Rea & Rick Briskin will get a concert presentation at NYC's 54 Below (254 W 54 Street) before its pre-New York developmental production at Hamilton Stage (UCPAC, Rahway, NJ).

On September 28, Garin opened his new show, A Punch In The Mouth, banging out a muscular, unexpected boogie-woogie 'Habañera' arrangement of 'Surf Carmen' (Bizet-Kern, arr. Garin). A 1992 Drama Desk winner (for the show Song of Singapore), Garin often performs with his 'tattooed ex-ingenue' wife Mardie Millet, but tonight she sat in the audience, leaving Garin to fend for himself. For the next hour, Garin held court at the keyboard, reeling off his show biz stories, teaching music theory, and wandering into emotional family history.

Half Moon Theatre will close its exciting inaugural season at The Culinary Institute of America with its fifth annual Ten Minute Play Festival. This year's theme, ALL YOU CAN EAT, celebrates the new partnership between HMT and the CIA with ten 10-minute plays-all written by nationally recognized playwrights expressly for this festival-set in familiar local eateries or featuring food-related themes at hot spots around the Hudson Valley.
