The Public Theater announced today that Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare has been cast as The Baker in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved musical INTO THE WOODS, directed by Timothy Sheader with co-direction by Liam Steel. INTO THE WOODS will be O'Hare's Shakespeare in the Park debut. Previews begin on Monday, July 23 at the Delacorte Theater and continue for five weeks through Saturday, August 25, with an official press opening on Thursday, August 9.

"Theater Talk" subsequently airs on CUNY TV on Saturday February 4 at 8:30 PM; Sunday February 5 at 12:30 PM; and Monday February 6 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. "Theater Talk" is hosted by The New York Post's Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins.

BAM has just announced its full 2012 line-up, according to the NY Times, which is set to include the previously reported RICHARD III led by Kevin Spacey. Also included in the winter/spring season are Jonathan Bates' BEING SHAKESPEARE, starring starring Simon Callow; Harold Pinter's THE CARETAKER, starring Jonathan Pryce; John Ford's TIS PITY SHE'S A WHORE; and Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS.
