C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band Come to St. Paul's Ordway Tonight

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts officially announces C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band will perform in place of Buckwheat Zydeco as part of the Ordway's 2012-2013 Target World Music and Dance Series. Buckwheat Zydeco was unable to continue his tour due to illness (see additional news release). The performance will take place at the same time and date, tonight, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ordway's Music Theater.

The Rubin Museum Explores Illusion in 2013 BRAINWAVE Series, Opening Today

The Rubin Museum will explore illusion and human perception in this year's edition of the popular Brainwave series of on-stage conversations between mind scientists and thinkers from diverse walks of life. Opening today, February 6, the series will include 20 on-stage conversations, 50 film screenings, and an interactive experience in which the museum will become a Memory Palace. While illusion is usually associated with vision, the series will engage audiences through all five senses to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Based on National ratings for the week of December 31, 2012, 'Katie' led the freshman pack of syndicated talk shows, outdelivering runner-up 'Steve Harvey' by double-digit margins in Households (+36% - 1.9 rating vs. 1.4 rating), Total Viewers (+26% - 2.498 million vs. 1.987 million) and Women 25-54 (+13% - 0.9 rating vs. 0.8 rating).

Based on National ratings for the week of December 24, 2012, 'Katie' continued to lead all freshman syndicated talk shows, outpacing runner-up 'Steve Harvey' by wide margins in Households (+38% - 1.8 rating vs. 1.3 rating), Total Viewers (+37% - 2.583 million vs. 1.884 million) and Women 25-54 (+25% - 1.0 rating vs. 0.8 rating).

The McCoy Center Enters Management Agreement with CAPA

The board of the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts in New Albany voted to enter into a management agreement with the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) to provide management and back office services including theatre operations, programming, ticketing, IT, and financial services.
