Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is the 2009 Excellence in Accessibility Leadership Award Winner. The award will be presented in Washington, D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts during the Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD) conference, on August 15, 2009.

Continuing their year-long 'Unheard Ayckbourn' Reading Series, the Chester Theatre Group presents a staged reading of Alan Ayckbourn's 58th play 'GamePlan' on Sunday, May 24 at 3pm at the Black River Playhouse in Chester.

On Wednesday, January 30 at 10PM, 'I Hate New York: A Love Story,' a one-hour cabaret revue of songs of love, hate and ambivalence toward New York City will be presented at The Metropolitan Room, featuring Ben Cherry with Sheldon Forrest.

Paper Mill Playhouse's rally - which was staged with the goal of keeping the venerable Millburn, New Jersey theatre from closing - took place on Monday, April 9th at 7 PM.

The 19th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction was held on Sunday, September 25 in Shubert Alley. The Flea Market raised a grand total of $544,037 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
