Coeurage Theatre Company to Host Fundraiser, 7/5

Coeurage Theatre Company (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director; Nicole Monet, Managing Director), LA's only Pay What You Want company, has announced a Gala Evening to raise funds for its upcoming production of Failure: A Love Story by Philip Dawkins. The event begins at 7pm on Sunday, July 5 at the famed Formosa Cafe in West Hollywood.

Road Theatre to Open 2015-16 Season with World Premiere of HOMEFREE This Fall

The Road Theatre Company and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce the first show of its 2015-2016 - 25th Anniversary Season, the World Premiere of HOMEFREE, written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews. HOMEFREE will open on Friday, September 18 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 8th at the Road Theatre Company's second home, the Road on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Celebration Theatre Presents LIKE DROWNING Tonight

CELEBRATION THEATRE presents as part of its New Works Reading Series 'Like Drowning' tonight, March 17 at 7:30pm at the West Hollywood City Chambers, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood. 'Like Drowning' takes place in an upper East Side Manhattan apartment, switching back and forth in time from the early 1990s to present day. The earlier scenes explore the relationship of Richard, a handsome, irresponsible actor in his 40s, and Rodney, a slightly older, attentive, well-off member of a theater's Board of Directors. In the present-day scenes, some 25 years later, an older version of Rodney brings an older version of Richard to his apartment to care for him as he faces his greatest personal challenge.

Blank Theatre to Premiere SONS OF THE PROPHET in 2015

The Blank Theatre has announced that rehearsals begin on December 1 for the Los Angeles premiere of Sons of the Prophet by Stephen Karam, directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews. Performances begin January 31, 2015 with opening set for February 7.

The nominations were revealed by past Ovation Award recipients Gigi Bermingham, Brighid Fleming, Parmer Fuller, Jennifer Haley, Brian Kite, Glynn Turman, and John Zalewski, along with LA STAGE Alliance Chief Executive Officer Terence McFarland.
