Krystina Alabado, Ken Clark and More to Lead Andy Mientus Penned BURN ALL NIGHT

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, is pleased to present Burn All Night, with Book and Lyrics by Andy Mientus, Music by Van Hughes, Nick LaGrasta, and Brett Moses, Choreography by Sam Pinkleton, and Directed by Jenny Koons. Performances begin on Friday, August 18 and run through Friday, September 8 at OBERON, 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge. 

George Street Playhouse Summer Theatre Academy Moves to Lord Stirling Community School in New Brunswick for 2017

With George Street Playhouse temporarily relocating during the construction of its new home in downtown New Brunswick, its popular Summer Theatre Academy will take place July 3-28 at nearby Lord Stirling Community School. The Academy celebrates creative expression and provides a fun, engaging environment for youth and teens to explore theatre, develop self-confidence and collaborate with others. These affordable two- and four-week classes are for budding thespians of any experience level ages 5-18.  

Judd Hirsch, Dan Lauria to Read THE VALUE OF NAMES at George Street Playhouse

George Street Playhouse has announced that stage and screen legends Judd Hirsch (TV: Taxi, Superior Donuts; Film: Ordinary People, Independence Day) and Dan Lauria (TV: The Wonder Years, Pitch; Broadway: Lombardi, A Christmas Story) have been cast for a special one-night-only reading of Jeffrey Sweet's play, The Value of Names, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.

George Street Playhouse's 2017 Gala to Honor David Saint, Marlene & Tony Volpe

George Street Playhouse has announced that its Annual Gala Benefit - a one-of-a-kind evening featuring stars of Broadway, film and television - will take place Sunday, April 2, 2017, 5 pm, at The Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick. This year, George Street Playhouse honors one of its own as David Saint will receive the Arthur Laurents Award for Distinguished Artistic Achievement in celebration of his 20th season as the Playhouse's Artistic Director.

Nancy Opel-Led CURVY WIDOW Will Land at George Street Playhouse in May

George Street Playhouse has announced that the new musical comedy Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas), will be the fifth and final show of the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 season.  The show runs May 2-21, 2017, with opening night scheduled for May 5, 2017.

Author and Rutgers Law Professor David Dante Troutt to Speak at Free Community Event at George Street Playhouse, 1/19

George Street Playhouse will host "American Sons and Daughters: Bringing Opportunity Home," featuring guest speaker David Dante Troutt, a professor of law at Rutgers University and award-winning author of many books, scholarly articles and a variety of legal and political commentaries on race, law and equality, on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 7 p.m. The special event is free and open to the public, but those wanting to attend should register to do so at www.georgestreetplayhouse.org.

Weaved throughout the charming musical romance of Daddy Long Legs, currently on stage at New Brunswick, NJ's George Street Playhouse, are messages promoting the importance of education and the empowerment of young girls and women. So what better way to share those ideals this holiday season then with a special "Daughter Days" package for select performances of Daddy Long Legs December 20, 22 and 24. Daddy Long Legs is appropriate for daughters ages 10 through 100.
