The Boston Theater Critics Association has announced its nominees for this year's Elliot Norton Awards, which recognize excellence in Greater Boston theater. The awards will be given at the 28th annual ceremony, to be held at 7 p.m.

The American Repertory Theater, Huntington Theatre Company, and the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston have joined forces for the first time to create Emerging America - an annual festival devoted to supporting and launching new voices in American theatre. From May 14 through 16, Emerging America brings some of the country's most promising performers, writers, companies and directors to Boston for a weekend filled with energy, imagination, creativity and drama.
The StageSource Board of Directors has named long-time Huntington Theatre Company Managing Director Michael Maso as the recipient of the 2010 StageSource Theatre Hero Award. The Theatre Hero Award is being presented to Maso for his service, inspiration and role as a champion to Boston area theatres and the arts. The producers of the Tony Award-winning comedy, Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, have announced casting for the Off-Broadway production. The new cast of THE 39 STEPS will begin performances on Thursday, March 25, prior to opening on Thursday, April 15 at New World Stages / Stage 1.
The Huntington Theatre Company will play the final show of ALL MY SONS on February 7, 2010.
