New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced an additional benefit performance of Othello, directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home), on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 6:30 pm. Proceeds from the evening will go to benefit NYTW's education and engagement programming across the 2016/17 season, providing thousands of students, teens, artists, and local residents access to some of the most exciting new voices and leading theatre artists of our time.

Katherine Brann Fredricks directs a cast of eleven including Tommy Alsip*, Hadley Cronk*, Sean Hayden*, Ashanti J'Aria*, Anthony Michael Lopez*, David Marmanillo*, Meg McWhorter*, Rebecca Odorisio*, Aaron Riesebeck*, and Ravi Roth*. Four performances for Black Hole Wedding will be staged at the Paradise Factory, Upstairs Theatre, 64 E. 4th St., NYC from tonight, June 26-July 10 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place June 15 - July 12 at the Paradise Factory in New York City.

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB) launches its 2015 season with a revival of Agatha Christie's rarely seen 1958 thriller THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, currently in preview prior to opening Sunday, April 19 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan. Based on the film La Femme de Boulanger by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono, The Baker's Wife features music and lyrics byStephen Schwartz (Wicked) and a book by Joseph Stein (Fiddler of the Roof). A modern day fable of love that has remained a cult favorite, the musical features the songs 'Meadowlark' and 'Proud Lady,' amongst the many other hidden treasures in this musical. This rarely produced musical will warm the hearts of romantics and cynics alike because this is story is not about true love but about the truth in love and how it shapes us. Directed by Barrie Gelles, The Baker's Wife will open tonight, March 7th at 8pm.

There may not have been 76 trombones, but Florence Henderson and Constantine Maroulis did excellent impersonations of librarian Marian Paroo and Harold Hill of 'The Music Man' fame, as they lead a 28 piece marching Broadway band into the Skirball Cultural Center in the new Guerin Pavilion/Herscher Hall to begin an evening of co-hosting for the Actors Fund's 18th Annual Tony Awards® Party.
