Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) presents new works that find familiar characters dealing with death, the afterlife and the spirits that stay with us. The three brand new works are the penultimate installment of 'Shipyard Souls & A Compass Rose,' a full-length play presented in installments which began last August. We revisit characters introduced in previous D3C shows, but the performances also function as stand-alone pieces. Written by Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto, the serialized works are presented as part of their residency at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street in Greenwich Village. The performance begins at 8pm tonight, April 24. Admission is free, with a $3 suggested donation.

Park Playhouse, The Capital Region of New York's free summer theatre, has announced the title that will open their upcoming 26th Season. The outdoor theatre in Albany's Washington Park will open their summer season with the Local Premiere of the new musical Hands on a Hardbody. The musical, which played a run on Broadway in 2013, will be appearing at a regional theatre in the Northeast for the first time during it's run at Park Playhouse from July 1-26, 2014.

A group of friends bond at a bar on Christmas Eve and exchange stories of their childhood fears of 'The Krampus,' a real figure from Norse mythology who functioned as an evil-twin to the benevolent Saint Nicholas. The darkly funny show also features original music in the form of bawdy holiday carols. The show runs for three performances: Today, December 13 at 8:30pm and Saturday & Sunday, December 14 and 15 at 8pm at bkONE's home at St. John's, 461 99th Street in Brooklyn, NY. Admission is $5 and if you bring a new, unwrapped toy with you to donate to Toys for Tots you'll receive a gift from the playwright. The anthology of consist of short one acts plays dealing with dreams, our memories and their effect on our experiences. Dialogue with Three Chords teams up with the Soho Gallery for Digital Art in New York City to present theatre inspired by comic books on May 8 as the final installment of the Soho Gallery's five week Comic Book Round Table (CBRT) series of events. "The Last Days of the Brave and Bold" from playwright Stephen Gracia stages an imagined conversation between William Marston, creator of the DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman and Dr. Frederic Wertham, champion of comic book censorship. The short play is directed by Michael LoPorto as is the curtain raiser monologue, "A People's History of Super Heroism." The audience is invited to attend a party to celebrate the CBRT series that will follow the show, along with panelists from previous CBRT events. BrooklynONE productions (bkONE) and Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) team up to present 'The Funeral Rites of Country Western Superstars' from playwright Stephen Gracia for brooklynONE's April Reading Series installment.
