The Kleban Foundation awarded the 21st Annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has gone to Adam Gwon and the award for the most promising musical theatre librettist has gone to Michelle Elliott. The 2011 awards were presented on June 27, 2011, in a private ceremony at ASCAP.

Playwrights Horizons, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tim Sanford and Managing Director Leslie Marcus, is proud to announce the sixth and final production of its upcoming 2011/2012 Season. Completing the theater company's line-up is the New York premiere of MAPLE & VINE, a new play by Jordan Harrison (Doris to Darlene at Playwrights Horizons, Act a Lady, Amazons and Their Men), directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman (The Thugs, Stunning, Naked Angels' This Wide Night, Mr. Harrison's Act a Lady).
NEA Awards $20,000 Grant to American Lyric Theater

Rocco Landesman, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, announced earlier this week that American Lyric Theater has been recommended for a grant of $20,000 to support The Composer Librettist Development Program.
