'SCARY MUSICAL… The Musical!', with Book by Richard Hochberg and Music and Lyrics by Richard Hochberg and Michael Paternostro, will be directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Kevin Spirtas in a workshop presentation slated for February 2013.

Today the Lambda Literary Foundation announced OUTWRITE!, a special celebration of Los Angeles LGBT literary pioneers - Malcolm Boyd, Lillian Faderman, Katherine V. Forrest, John Rechy and Patricia Nell Warren --to be held on Saturday, April 27, at the West Hollywood Public Library. The evening, marking the 25th anniversary of the organization, begins at 7 PM. A catered reception in the forecourt of the library begins at 6 PM. This celebration is being made possible through the generous support of the City of West Hollywood.

Nurturance of the artist has been the engine that ignites the Katselas Theatre Company since its founding by acclaimed director/acting teacher Milton Katselas in 1983. Its production history began in 1999 at Highways in Santa Monica starring the author, and under David Schweizer's direction continued at The Tiffany Theatre in West Hollywood produced by Paula Holt & Eileen T'Kaye. It subsequently played at Theatre 150, Ojai, at The Evidence Room, LA, at Santa Fe Playhouse, New Mexico, Off-Broadway at the Rattlestick Theatre (adding Suzi Dietz to the producing team), and finally at the Lavender Footlights Festival in Miami. The current production marks the debut of Harry Hart-Browne in the role and the first time an actor other than the playwright has assayed the role.
