Around the World in 80 Days will run at Asolo Repertory Theatre June 6-23.

Asolo Repertory Theatre proudly presents the final production of its 60th season: AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS. This highly imaginative adaptation of Jules Verne's timeless story will be brought to life by the creators of Hetty Feather, adapted by Emmy® nominee Laura Eason (House of Cards, Sex with Strangers, Blue Night) and directed by Theresa Heskins (Snow Queen, 2017 UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children and Young People). Recommended for everyone 7+, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS previews June 6, opens June 7 and runs through June 23.

The dance, music, theatre and visual arts academies of  Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts aka: Grand Arts, present the musical Broadway production of HAIRSPRAY. This is a tremendous effort that provides opportunities for students on stage and behind the scenes to experience a full scale production that brings industry professionals to campus to donate time to ensure the audience has a complete Broadway experience. Developed in partnership with York Theatre Royal, Fo's farcical comedy follows two working class women who take advantage of a riot at a local supermarket to stock up their cupboards, and the chaos that ensues as they concoct increasingly outlandish plans to hide their crime from their straight-laced husbands. It is an irreverent take on modern politics, the working poor and marginalised voices across Britain.

The New Vic Theatre's celebrated production of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days adapted by Laura Eason and directed by Theresa Heskins arrives at London's Cadogan Hall, as part of a major six month tour. The production opened 2 August and runs until 2 September.

Jules Verne's 1873 adventure tale Around the World in 80 Days follows Phileas Fogg and his newly employed valet Passepartout as they attempt to circumnavigate the globe in 80 days on a 20,000 wager (the approximate equivalent of 2 million in 2017).
