The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the complete schedule for the 2009 Festival, which will begin September 28th and continue through October 18th. A full breakdown of this year's performances and venues follows.

After he performed with his company SENSEDANCE at the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre at Bergen Community College in New Jersey on February 4, choreographer HENNING R?BSAM was honored onstage with the college's DISTINGUISHED ARTIST AWARD 2009 for his 'outstanding contribution of talent, artistry, dedication and service to the performing arts world.' The award carries a cash prize in the amount of $2,500.00. Previous recipients include the award winning actress Olympia Dukakis and composer Philip Glass. R?bsam is the first dance artist to be so honored.
ALLIES, a new rock musical featuring the songs of the legendary band Heart, will be presented in concert version at BLVD ( 199 Bowery at Spring St) on Monday, January 26th at 9:00 p.m. Industry and the general public are invited to make reservations on the show's official website at www.alliesthemusical.com.
ALLIES features a book by Celina Carvajal and Maggie F. Levin. The staged concert will be directed by Sam Buggein. Paul Leschen is the music director. The cast features Ms. Carvajal, Brian Charles Rooney (Threepenny Opera), Chris Hall (Bedbugs!!!, Twist). Ryan Bogner (Bedbugs!!!, Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make A Good Musical?) will read the stage directions.
