The Old Globe will celebrate A Night of Revels at the 2016 Globe Gala tonight, September 24, in support of the theatre's arts engagement and artistic programs. The annual event will feature an exclusive, one-night-only cabaret performance by Leslie Odom, Jr., the Tony Award-winning star of the Broadway smash hit musical Hamilton.

The Old Globe world premiere of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, which finished its highly acclaimed run on Sunday, has broken multiple Globe box office records and has become one of the most successful shows in Globe history. The adult comedy now ranks as the highest-grossing show in the theatre's in-the-round space (which includes both the original Cassius Carter Centre Stage and the current Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center).

The Old Globe today announced the first production of its 2017 Summer Season: Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway. Based on the stories and characters by Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, returning to the Globe after the great successes of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, which he directed, and Bright Star, which he choreographed.

The Globe Guilders are pleased to announce their annual fashion show and luncheon, Celebrating Couture 2016, presented by Neiman Marcus, to benefit The Old Globe's artistic and arts engagement programs. Each year, the Globe Guilders Fashion Show features couture expertly selected by Neiman Marcus from the elite designers they represent, including Gucci, Etro, and Tom Ford; runway samples from Monique Lhuillier and Marchesa; and a compelling collection from Naeem Khan. Celebrating Couture 2016 will take place on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina.?

The Board of Directors of The Old Globe today announced the departure of Managing Director Michael G. Murphy, who has accepted an appointment as the President and CEO of Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, New York.
