Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions bring the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical to PlayhouseSquare from November 19 through December 12. Based on the international smash-hit film and featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot the Musical has earned critical acclaim on Broadway including 10 Tony Awards.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions announced the full casting today for the second national tour of Billy Elliot the Musical beginning October 30 at the Durham Performing Arts Center. Tony Award-winner Faith Prince stars as Mrs. Wilkinson along with Giuseppe Bausilio, Michael Dameski, Kylend Hetherington, Lex Ishimoto and Daniel Russell in the role of 'Billy.'

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that Peter Mazurowski will join the cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, in the role of ‘Billy.' Joining him will be Neil McCaffrey and Gabriel Rush alternating in the role of ‘Michael.'

Presenters for the evening included New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Broadway actor Brooks Ashmanskas, and Broadway Casting Director Nora Brennan. Billy Elliot on Broadway will play a new performance schedule beginning May 31, 2010: Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 2pm and 7:30pm. MSG Entertainment and the Garden of Dreams Foundation celebrated the Sixth Annual Spring Talent Show: 'City of Dreams' on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall last night on April 28. Special hosts included Whoopi Goldberg, Darryl 'D.M.C.' McDaniels, Mike Dameski who is currently starring as Billy Elliot from Broadway's BILLY ELLIOT, Matthew Modine, Radio City Rockettes and MSG Network Knicks reporter Jill Martin. The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden to 'make dreams come true for children in crisis.' This year's show will feature a variety of individual and group performances, including dancing, singing and instrumental acts. The NYC-themed event will also present an inspiring opening and finale act showcasing all the participating children. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the event.
