Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts Presents YOURS, ANNE, Beginning 11/28

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents 'Yours, Anne' by Enid Futterman and Michael Cohen and based on "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. The production runs from Nov. 28-Dec. 2 and Dec. 5-9 in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. only on Sundays. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students. For ticket reservations, call the Fine Arts Hotline at 968-7128.

Richard Nelson's SORRY to Begin Previews at The Public Theater, Oct 30

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere production of Richard Nelson's new play SORRY on Tuesday, October 30. SORRY, play three of The Apple Family Plays, takes place over a meal during the day the country will choose the next president - Election Day. The cast features Jon DeVries, Maryann Plunkett, Laila Robins, Jay O. Sanders, and J. Smith-Cameron.

Last night, December 5, the Roundabout Theatre Company presented a one night only benefit performance of SHE LOVES ME at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The romantic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof). The benefit starred Gavin Creel as "Steven Kodaly", Tony Award® winner Jane Krakowski as "Ilona Ritter", three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara as "Amalia Balas", Josh Radnor as "Georg", Peter Bartlett as "Headwaiter", Tony nominee Michael McGrath as "Ladislav Sipos", Tony nominee Rory O'Malley as "Arpad Laszlo" and four-time Tony nominee Victor Garber as "Mr. Maraczek".

Andrea Marcovicci Celebrates 25 Years at the Oak Room With NO STRINGS, 11/15-12/30

Andrea Marcovicci - the acclaimed singer and actress dubbed 'The High Priestess of the American Songbook' by The New York Times - will celebrate her landmark 25th anniversary at the famed Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel. Her new show 'No Strings' runs from November 15 to December 30, featuring Music Director Shelly Markham on piano and Jered Egan on bass. For the second year in a row, Andrea will offer a special holiday performance on Monday, December 26 at 7:30 PM. The sophisticated entertainer holds the record for the longest continuous run in the Oak Room's history.

Kentwood Players, founded by the late Arky and Jan Marcom, Elizabeth Thornberg and Betty Francis, in December 1949, performs out of the Westchester Playhouse, located near LAX. The company actually got its start, and its name, as members of the Kentwood Elementary School PTA in Westchester, motivated by a school play they performed there, decided to keep a good thing going.
