Full casting has been announced for Talawa Theatre Company's restaging of the National Theatre production of Errol John's MOON ON A RAINBOW SHAWL. Directed by Artistic Director Michael Buffong, the production welcomes back acclaimed actress Martina Laird (Casualty and Shameless) as Sophie, Jude Akuwudike (The Faith Machine at the Royal Court) as Charlie and Ray Emmet Brown (A Raisin in the Sun at the Royal Exchange) as Prince. Talawa Theatre Company's Artistic Director Michael Buffong has announced full casting for his production of God's Property, by award winning playwright and actor Arinze Kene. Kingsley Ben-Adir (The Riots, Tricycle Theatre) and Ash Hunter (A Clockwork Orange, Theatre Royal Stratford East) will play the two estranged mixed race brothers Chima and Onochie, who both inhabit the restless streets of Deptford in the early 1980s. They are joined by Ria Zmitrowicz (Chapel Street, The Bush Theatre) as Holly and Bradley Gardner (Saved, Lyric Hammersmith) as Liam. God's Property will preview in Deptford at the Albany from 20 February before its premiere at Soho Theatre from 26 February and then tours to mac in Birmingham from 26 March.

The Almeida Theatre's creative learning programme, Almeida Projects, will present the world premiere of a new commission for young people by Natalie Mitchell. Crawling in the Dark, a frank coming of age story inspired by David Eldridge's The Knot of the Heart, will be performed at the Almeida Theatre from 5 - 8 April 2011, directed by Michael Buffong. Designs are by Signe Beckmann, with lighting by Jason Wescombe and sound by Howard Wood.
