FISH IN THE DARK, the new comedy written by and starring Larry David, is running for an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 7 at the Cort Theatre. Opening night is Thursday, March 5. The comedy, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, also stars Rita Wilson, Rosie Perez, Jayne Houdyshell, Ben Shenkman and Lewis J. FISH IN THE DARK, the new comedy written by and starring Larry David, has broken yet another box office record during its third week of previews at the Cort Theatre.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for As You Like It, the first play of 2015 in the "Alley Theatre @ UH" season. "All the world's a stage" in this masterpiece about romance and mistaken identity. Elizabeth Bunch, Chris Hutchinson, James Black, Jeffrey Bean and Todd Waite lead the company in one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies.

Goodman Theatre, in collaboration with Chicago's various off-Loop theaters and Northwestern University, unveils partial programming in its spring 2015 citywide "August Wilson Celebration" -- an extensive retrospective of the late playwright's life, artistry and influence on American culture. The seven-week Celebration takes place in March and April 2015 on dual landmark occasions: the 70th anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's birth and the 10th anniversary of his death.

It is a signal of good writing and significant dramatic impact that a play which premiered in 1935 can be relevant nearly eighty years later. Clifford Odets' classic AWAKE AND SING! is grounded in the dire economics of the depression era and the circumstances of a Jewish immigrant extended family struggling to survive in their overcrowded Bronx apartment. Informed by her own family history, Obie Award-winner Melia Bensussen directs the Huntington Theatre Company production with intensity and an inherent understanding of the challenges faced by the Bergers and their ilk.

Performances at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre begin tonight, November 7 and continue through Sunday, December 7, 2014.

David Rabe's Sticks and Bones launches The New Group's 20th Anniversary Season. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Richard Chamberlain, Nadia Gan, Holly Hunter, Morocco Omari, Bill Pullman, Ben Schnetzer and Raviv Ullman. Previews began on October 21 in advance of an Official Opening Night tonight, November 6.
