Sometimes the battle of the sexes is not enough.  The Drilling Company reads turf wars and class consciousness into its production of 'The Taming of the Shrew,' to be presented September 4 to 20 as part of Bryant Park Shakespeare, directed by Alessandro Colla.  In an intrepid adaptation, the popular comedy is transported to a modern New England fishing village, not unlike Martha's Vineyard, where Katherina is a member of the yachting set and Petruchio is a local fisherman. 

The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Parking Company presents 'Othello' by William Shakespeare, directed by Hamilton Clancy.

To commemorate the bones of Richard III being found in an English parking lot, The Drilling Company will present Shakespeare's tragedy of the crook-back king August 1 to 17 in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets as the concluding production of the 2013 season of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot. Hamilton Clancy, Artistic Director, will direct and Alessandro Colla will be featured as the king.

The Shelter - a ensemble of theatrical artists - will conclude their fourth season with the world-premiere of LILY & KOSMO LIVE, a new play the blends the exciting adventure of 'Buck Rogers' and 1950s radio space operas with the youthful mischief of 'Our Gang' and The Little Rascals talkies, written and directed by Jonathan Ashley with preview performances beginning June 20th and running through June 30th at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street) in Manhattan. UglyRhino Productions announces the addition of two themed dance parties to the schedule for their interactive haunted warehouse experience,Warehouse of Horrors: Gowanus '73, based on true events that happened in and around The Brooklyn Lyceum in the 1970s. On Today, October 26 following the show at 8pm there will be a 70s themed dance party featuring DJ Brian Blackout and on Wednesday, October 31 there will be a special Halloween costume party. Admission to both parties is free after 10:30pm and all costumed guests will receive a free specialty shot.
