New Georges to Present Premiere of Weiner's HILLARY: A MODERN GREEK TRAGEDY With Mia Barron

New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director), the OBIE Award-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present the world premiere of Wendy Weiner's 'HILLARY: A Modern Greek Tragedy With a (Somewhat) Happy Ending,' directed by Julie Kramer. Mia Barron, last seen on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning Best Play The Coast of Utopia, and stage and television's Darren Pettie will head up the eight-member cast as Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Casting is complete for the revival of John Guare's modern American classic comedy, 'The House of Blue Leaves,' which will open the new Mark Taper Forum after its year-long renovation. Directed by Nicholas Martin, 'The House of Blue Leaves' begins previews August 30, opens September 14 and continues through October 19, 2008.

Page 73 Productions has announced that the New York premiere of 1001, written by Jason Grote and directed by Ethan McSweeny, will begin performances Monday, October 22 at the Nagelberg Theatre at Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC), 55 Lexington Avenue.
