MCC THEATER has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's The Nether directed by Anne Kaufman. Ben Rosenfield, memorably of the final two seasons of "Boardwalk Empire," and rising talent Sophia Anne Caruso will take on the roles of Woodnut and Iris, respectively. 59E59 Theaters will welcome The Directors Company with ON A STOOL AT THE END OF THE BAR, written by Robert Callely and directed by Michael Parva. ON A STOOL AT THE END OF THE BAR begins performances on Friday, November 14 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 14. Press Opening is Thursday, November 20 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note, there is no performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). The new film of BIRDMAN or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance is a black comedy that tells the story of an actor (Michael Keaton) - famous for portraying an iconic superhero - as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself. To celebrate the film, a screening was held on Monday night for members of the Broadway community. (The film's Broadway scenes were shot at the St. James Theatre).

John Leguizamo, Nick Sandow and Merritt Wever have joined the cast of the Bron Studios drama MEADOWLAND. The film also stars Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Giovanni Ribisi, Ty Simpkins, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Mark Feuerstein, Kevin Corrigan and Juno Temple.

Acclaimed film, television and stage actor Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) is signing on as a recurring guest star in six episodes of NURSE JACKIE, the original Showtime comedy series starring Edie Falco as a flawed emergency room nurse. Feuerstein will play Barry Wolfe, a high-powered, cutthroat lawyer who will represent Jackie as she pieces her life back together following her arrest last season. He joins recently announced recurring guest star Tony Shalhoub in the series' seventh and final season, which is currently in production in New York.

After six award-winning and critically-acclaimed seasons, NURSE JACKIE, the Showtime hit comedy starring the extraordinary Edie Falco, will begin production this week on its seventh and final season, it was announced today by David Nevins, President, Showtime Networks Inc.

Emmy Award-winner Tony Shalhoub (Monk) joins Emmy-winning actress Edie Falco in NURSE JACKIE, the SHOWTIME comedy about a flawed emergency room nurse. Shalhoub stars in a recurring role as Dr. Bernard Prince, a new ER doctor who has a great bedside manner, a special touch with his boss, Gloria Akalitus (Anna Deavere Smith), and who offers Jackie something she desperately needs - a friend.
