New Rep Extends THE KING OF SECOND AVENUE Through March 8

New Repertory Theatre announces THE KING OF SECOND AVENUE, now playing through March 8, 2015 in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA. Tickets are $30-$60 and may be purchased by calling the New Rep Box Office at 617-923-8487 or visiting newrep.org. Student, senior, and group discounts are available. Added performances include: Friday, March 6, 8pm; Saturday, March 7, 3pm; Saturday, March 7, 8pm; and Sunday, March 8, 2pm.

Live Nation presents the high-octane theatrical concert, "Burlesque to Broadway" starring Quinn Lemley, for four nights in February at the Gramercy Theatre, 127 East 23rd Street. This lightning-in-a-bottle survey of American burlesque -- with Lemley leading a tight-knit coterie of showgirls through heart-racing choreography, in eye-popping costumes -- is supported by a razor-sharp live band under the music direction of Dan Micciche. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday February 5, 6, 7, 8, all at 8pm.

The Group Theatre Too (GTT) recently presented its sixth annual Choreographer's Canvas, a one-night event featuring the works of over fifteen established and emerging choreographers from around the country. The Canvas, headed by GTT Executive Producer Justin Boccitto, played at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on Saturday May 18th and showcased many styles of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, theatre dance, aerial and this year swing dance. For the past 6 years the Canvas has presented over 65 choreographers, giving opportunity to over 450 dancers performing to sold houses. Check out photos from the event below!

Playing Off-Broadway for a four-week limited engagement from tonight, April 21 to May 12, the eye-popping purimshpiel carnival musical is directed by Motl Didner, with music direction by Zalmen Mlotek. The opening, sponsored by the Boston Beer Company, is set for Thursday April 25 at 7:30pm.
