Theater Resources Unlimited to Present TRU PRODUCER BOOTCAMP, 2/22

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the TRU Producer Bootcamp, Raising Money for Theater: Who, How and When to Ask on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 10am-6pm at The Skylight Room at Mason Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center, 17 Lexington Avenue at 23rd Street, 3rd floor, NYC. Bedlam's HAMLET & SAINT JOAN Now On Sale Through 3/9

TRU Hosts First Meeting of Producer Development and Mentorship Program

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) celebrated the season's first meeting of the TRU Producer Development & Mentorship Program on Monday, September 23 at Langham Place, 400 Fifth Avenue in midtown New York City. The evening was an opportunity for 53 mentee members to meet and mingle with the program directors, producers Michael Alden (Becoming Dr. Ruth, The King's Speech on stage, Grey Gardens, Sarah Jones' Bridge & Tunnel, Bat Boy), Patrick Blake (The Exonerated, In the Continuum, Play Dead) and Patricia Klausner producing manager of Shotgun Productions and commercial producer (Pippin, The Trip to Bountiful, Stick Fly, The Scottsboro Boys), plus prospective mentors for the coming year who will guide and advise them on their producing goals.

Stephen Schwartz, Marc Shaiman & More Set for FROM BROADWAY WITH LOVE: A Benefit Concert for Sandy Hook, Airing Tonight

FROM BROADWAY WITH LOVE: A Benefit Concert for Sandy Hook, which took place on January 28, 2013, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, Connecticut, will be airing on select public television stations throughout the tri-state area. An hour-long version of the concert will premiere tonight, July 18 at 10 p.m on WLIW21, Friday, July 26 at 10 p.m. on THIRTEEN and CPTV, and Tuesday, July 30 at 10 p.m. on NJTV. 'From Broadway With Love' was a concert of healing for the Newtown community where composers, musicians and more than 100 stars of Broadway came together with over 300 students from several Newtown dance groups, the Sandy Hook Elementary School 3rd and 4th grades and the Newtown High School Chamber Choir.

The evening will be a concert of love and healing for the Newtown community from the composers, musicians and more than 100 stars of Broadway together with over 100 students from several Newtown dance groups and the Newtown High School Chamber Choir. All proceeds and donations will go directly to United Way of Western Connecticut's Sandy Hook School Support Fund.

TRU Names Producer Program Directors

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces that theater producers Meredith Lucio (The 39 Steps, Rooms: a rock romance) and Christopher Massimine (Shall We Dance, Civil War Voices, Operations Director at Origin Theatre) have been named as the 2011/2012 Program Directors for TRU'S re-envisioned Producer Development and Mentorship Program (PDMP), following the successful tenure of outgoing directors Jane Dubin (The Norman Conquests, 39 Steps, unFramed) and Tom Smedes (Next Fall, Title of Show, Naked Boys Singing).

In a series that is unique because it develops new producers as well as new plays, three works were chosen from submissions by emerging or established producers, as well as from writers who hoped to be matched with a producer.
