Following the sold out performance of Jeremy Jordan's cabaret Breaking Character, The Abbey has announced additional Broadway stars that will be performing in the all-new Broadway Spotlight Series. Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will return to The Abbey in March to perform his cabaret Girls, Girls, Girls. Additional performances include Brad Bradley, Melissa van der Schyff, and Paul Anthony Stewart.

The Provincetown Theatre in Provincetown, Massachusetts will host a week long workshop and subsequent reading of the new musical "Sybil" starring Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon) and Melissa van der Schyff (Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde and Big River).

On Wednesday, June 5, Fundamental Theatre Project will present Benjamin Button - A New Musical, as a part of Mass Rhetoric: A New Works Festival. With music by Natalie Tenenbaum and a book and lyrics by Brett Boles, the project will be directed by Stephen Nachamie and will feature Daniel Reichard, Melissa van der Schyff, Hunter Herdlicka, T.J. Mannix, James Donegan, Mark Willis Borum, Lauren Downie, Isabel Nesti, Lindsay Gallagher, Sena Lee, Alysia Dorhout, Heath Chaney, Chris Withers, Xalvador Tin-Bradbury and Mark DiConzo.

Tonight, June 3rd at 7PM, an industry reading will be held at Pearl Studios (500 Eighth Ave., 12th Floor), helmed by Rated P-director Jeremy Dobrish.

The Broadway at Birdland partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn continues with another 'Frank & Friends' concert tonight, February 4 at 7pm. The series of very special one-night-only concerts celebrates the songs and favorite performers from the composer's wide range of work in popular, theatrical and classical music. All profits will go to The Actors Fund, anationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment.

Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, makes a splash with the effervescent musical comedy SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, opening November 30 and running through January 13, 2013. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN features one of the largest all-star casts ever assembled on the Drury Lane stage, led by Tony Yazbeck. Yazbeck's Broadway creditsinclude starring as "Billy Flynn" in the long running revival of CHICAGO, "Phil Davis" in Irving Berlin's White Christmas, "Tulsa" in the recent revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone (for which he earned an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination), "Al" in A Chorus Line, Never Gonna Dance, Oklahoma! and Gypsy with Tyne Daly. His Off-Broadway credits include the City Center Encores! productions of On The Town, Gypsy, The Apple Tree, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Pardon My English, as well as the York Theatre production of Fanny Hill.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival will present Michael Ogborn's award winning musical Baby Case, directed by Jeremy Dobrish, produced by Charlie Fink, Michael Ogborn, Robert Soslow, Juliana Schauerman, Dorothy Flynn, Caroline Castagno, Glenn Gunderson, Kathy Lou Leone, Diane Santillo, and Anne Makara. 2012 Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Melissa Van der Schyff (Bonnie & Clyde), fellow 2012 Drama Desk Award nominee, Claybourne Elder (One Arm, also seen in Bonnie & Clyde) and Darren Ritchie (Broadway's Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure, Dracula, the Musical, Little Shop of Horrors) will star in a special industry reading of Vincent Delaney's new play Foreclosure, presented by Mondays Dark Theatre Company as part of the TRU ("Theater Resources Unlimited") New Play Reading Series, on Monday, June 4 at 7:00 PM at the Roy Arias Off-Broadway Theater in Manhattan.

Earlier this month, the 2012 Tony Awards Nominations were announced by Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Parsons. The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
