Amphibian Stage Productions has announced the cast and creative team for its third main stage play of the 2016 season, Crossing the Line by Kieran Lynn. Starring Justin Lemieux, Matthew Minor, and Kelsey Milbourn, the play will run Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, August 7 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

The New School's newly formed College of Performing Arts, led by"firebrand" (New York Times) Executive Dean Richard Kessler, is pleased to announce winter-spring public programming highlights for the College's three schools: Mannes School of Music, The School of Jazz and The School of Drama. ABC Talent and Casting will present the 2015 ABC Discovers: New York Talent Showcase, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6 at the New World Stages in New York City.
Metropolitan Opera singer Janinah Burnett and Joanna Marie Ford and Steven Wallace will perform the leading roles in Morningside Opera, Harlem Opera Theater and The Harlem Chamber Players concert production of VOODOO, the long-lost and historical opera by African American composer Harry Lawrence Freeman. They will be joined by Crystal Charles, James R. Hopkins III, Barry L. Robinson, Darian Worrall, a full chorus and 30-piece orchestra. The production is directed by Melissa Crespo and conducted by Gregory Hopkins. Last performed in NYC in 1928, VOODOO, will play two concert performances only on June 26 and 27, 2015 at 7PM at Miller Theatre at Columbia University (2960 Broadway, at the corner of Broadway and 116th street) in Manhattan. Plácido Domingo, General Director of LA Opera, has announced updated details about the company's upcoming Figaro Unbound celebration, which explores the lasting legacy of French playwright Pierre Beaumarchais and the influential protagonist of three of his stage comedies: Figaro, the wily barber from Seville. LA Opera's programming of three operas based on the Figaro plays—The Barber of Sevilleby Rossini, The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart and the west coast premiere of The Ghosts of Versailles by John Corigliano, all conducted by LA Opera Music Director James Conlon—is the inspiration for Figaro Unbound, a three-month citywide celebration of the revolutionary spirit.

Wedge performances are open to all ages; however they may contain mature language and situations that may not be suitable for all children.

Tony and Olivier Award winning producers, Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a dinner in honor of the 2014-2015 Directors Project fellows on Tuesday, May 13th. The Directors Project fellows are in New York city for an intensive week-long orientation program which includes a series of events and opportunities to speak with theatre professionals. The One-Minute Play Festival (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director) and INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director; John McCormack, Executive Director) continue their dynamic partnership with the The 2nd Annual New York One-Minute Play Festival Of Latino Voices, with part of the proceeds to benefit INTAR's emerging artist training program UNIT52.
The Civilians, the award-winning New York-based theatre company, announces the members of its 2013-14 R & D Group. The group's emerging and established artists were selected from over one hundred applicants. The R & D Group is comprised of artists from multiple theatrical disciplines. Each artist or creative team will develop an original work over the season. The artists and projects were selected to represent a range of different strategies for making new work from creative inquiry and research. This diversity of approach helps feed a culture of innovation in the group, making the R & D Group an effective lab of experimentation for the field of investigative theater.
