BroadwayWorld can officially report the complete cast and creative team for The Old Globe's 18th annual production of DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, starring J. Bernard Calloway in the title role!

Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 44th annual summer season of quality live theatre with the 'squeaky-clean' musical soap opera 'SUDS', which features some of the greatest 1960's pop songs ever written. The show was created byMelinda Gilb, Steve Gunderson and Bryan Scott; Gunderson also created the musical and vocal arrangements. Performances will run from August 26 - September 5 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 28 and 30, and September 1 and 2 at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website atwww.cortlandrep.org.

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) presents 'Violet,' a modern fairy tale musical composed by 2015 Tony Award Winner Jeanine Tesori, based on 'The Ugliest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts. The winner of the Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical, 'Violet' is a production filled with show-stopping anthems of the 1960's American south. Previews begin Aug. 20, 2015. Opening night is Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 on the Lyceum Stage.

She-Rantulas Theatre Company presents the New York premiere of She-Rantulas From Outer Space - in 3D!, a gender-bending comedy of horrors by Ruff Yeager andPhil Johnson, that The San Diego Union-Tribune calls 'a smart, wonderfully detailed and very funny mash up of '50s B horror movies, McCarthy-era hysteria and Charles Busch drag comedies,' as part of this summer's New York International Fringe Festival. Performances begin tonight, August 14 (through August 23) at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre @ Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street @ Lafayette Street). This season welcomes the return of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Sean Murray with original score by Billy Thompson. This production is a completely re-imagined take on the original holiday classic featuring lively music, unique puppets and live sound effects.

Williams Street Repertory has announced their 2014/15 Season is on sale now. The young theatre company in-residence at Raue Center For The Arts is now in it's fourth year and their season is set to include 6 shows including 3 Chicago premieres.

Williams Street Repertory will host their general auditions for the 2014/15 Season on March 30, 2014 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm and March 31, 2014 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. The company is seeking Equity & Non-Equity actors. This is their fourth season.

Cygnet Theatre continues its annual holiday tradition of presenting a live radio play direct from the 'broadcast studios' of WCYG. For 7 years, theater-goers have enjoyed being part of the live studio audience watching 'Christmas Eve broadcasts' of holiday classics. Cygnet returns to the 1940's era studio to bring to life a unique presentation of the classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL complete with holiday music, commercials and the much-loved live sound effects.

SUDS is a bubbly musical written by Melinda Gilb, Steve Gunderson and Bryan Scott with musical arrangements by Steve Gunderson. Join us for a visit back to the early 1960s where we meet the lovelorn Cindy who works in a laundromat and is protected by guardian angels on a mission to help her find true love in a crazy wash, rinse, and spin world. SUDS features an eight piece live band and over 40 chart topping classic songs including 'Mr. Postman," "Where the Boys Are," "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," "Respect," and "Do You Want to Know a Secret?"

The new comedy of horrors, She-Rantulas From Outer Space-in 3D!, conceived and written by local authors Phil Johnson and Ruff Yeager, began production last week for its world premiere production at Diversionary Theatre. The shows first performance is October 24 with and official opening November 2.
