2016 Bumbershoot Lineup Announced

Melanie Wilson's OPERA FOR THE UNKNOWN WOMAN Set for UK Tour

Award winning sound artist Melanie Wilson is collaborating with Fuel, one of the UK's leading theatre producers, on a bold new eco-feminist work that re-imagines the operatic form. Called OPERA FOR THE UNKNOWN WOMAN, the production is commissioned by Wales Millennium Centre for the inaugural Festival of Voice and Yorkshire Festival 2016 in association with Warwick Arts Centre.

Dallas Holocaust Museum Sponsoring CABARET's Opening Night at Winspear Opera House

PSO Concerts to Feature Works by Sarah Kirkland Snider in May

On Sunday, May 15 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents its Passion & Affection concert performed in honor of Arnold H. Snider, III and featuring Sarah Kirkland Snider's Hiraeth, a multi-media work co-commissioned by the PSO with the North Carolina Symphony.

Winners Announced for LMGI Awards Show; THE REVENANT and SICARIO Among Winners

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced the winners of its 3rd Annual Location Managers Guild International Awards tonight. The event honored the outstanding and creative international contributions of location professionals and film commissions in seven categories of film, television and commercials. The black-tie awards ceremony took place at the Alex Theatre in Glendale before an audience of 500, including LMGI members, industry executives and press. Location Manager David Doumeng served as host.

Long Beach Opera's Andreas Mitisek to Direct HOPPER'S WIFE in NYC

Having earned accolades for his work at Long Beach Opera (LBO) and Chicago Opera Theater (COT), Andreas Mitisek has been chosen to direct New York City Opera's (NYCO) production of Hopper's Wife. The opera is by composer Stewart Wallace with a libretto by Michael Korie. The new staging will mark the East Coast premiere of the opera and will be Mitisek's New York City directorial debut. Performances will take place on April 28, 29, 30 and May 1, 2016 at Harlem Stage (150 Convent Ave, New York, NY).

Dead Writers Collective to Open Season With THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

Dead Writers Theatre Collective opens its 2016 season with a clear look back at the Oscar Wilde classic, The Importance of Being Earnest. It opens July 1 at The Athenaeum Theatre. "It's the perfect choice to launch our 'Mad About The Boy' theme," states Collective Artistic Director Jim Schneider. "We're celebrating the good and bad side of love - all kinds of love. Our other two shows include a cabaret style production of Noel Coward's sophisticated work in Oh, Coward! and a dramatic look at tragic love with The Heiress. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Opens Today at the Norris Theatre

Palos Verdes Performing Arts mounts a new staging of 'Fiddler on the Roof,' the timeless musical that has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide for more than 50 years. The groom is perfect, the dress is perfect, and the decorations will be perfect. Then, like in any good farce the doorbell rings. And all hell breaks loose. So much for the perfect.
