GOODBYE MARILYN: A LOVE LETTER explores the last night of Marilyn Monroe's life. Essentially, the world premiere play written and directed by Michael Phillips, is a love letter to Marilyn, attempting to show her not as a celebrity, but as a person dealing with scattered memories from her life as the pills and booze overwhelm her senses just prior to her final moments on Earth.

DEXTER's CS Lee and More Star in ANIMALS OUT OF PAPER, Opening Tonight at East West Players

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, opens its 50th Anniversary Season, Golden, with 'Animals Out of Paper,' by Pulitzer-nominated Rajiv Joseph and directed by Jennifer Chang. The production features CS Lee ('Dexter'), Tess Lina ('Revenge,'NCIS') and introducing Kapil Talwalkar.

Clarence Brown Theatre Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

The Clarence Brown Theatre, one of thirteen professional LORT (League of Regional Theatres) theatres on a university campus in the country, announced its newly appointed Advisory Board members. The Advisory Board is the link to the community, overseeing major events and fundraisers, the CBT Society Scholarship, and engaging the community to grow the theatre's support.

Phoenix Theatre presents Kimberly Akimbo, by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Eric Lewis, May 30 thru June 22. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm.

James Whitbourn & More Set for Special ANNELIES Conversation at Lowenstein Auditorium, 4/24

Distinguished British composer James Whitbourn, nationally renowned choir conductor James Jordan and internationally celebrated soprano Arianna Zukerman will participate in a special moderated discussion and Q & A with the audience of Whitbourn's internationally acclaimed Annelies, the first major choral setting of The Diary of Anne Frank, on April 24, 2014. Taking place at the Lowenstein Auditorium of Manhattan's Temple Emanu-El on the Upper Eastside at 6:30 PM, this conversation will include the Grammy nominated artists' roles in bringing the work, commissioned by the Jewish Music Institute of London, and premiered at a royal commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2005, to life.

Just last night, Tovah Feldshuh hosted the Theatre Development Fund's (TDF) 2014 Gala, which celebrated the 35th season of TDF's Accessibility Programs (TAP). TAP are TDF's services for people with physical disabilities, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum. Mark Hadlow Returns to the Court in WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING, 8-29 March

Renowned New Zealand actor Mark Hadlow (Dori from The Hobbit) returns home to The Court in a tightly wrought drama of interwoven connections, understandings and mysteries. When the Rain Stops Falling is a compelling family saga that reverberates through four generations of one family moving from the claustrophobia of a 1950s London flat to the heart of the Australian desert in 2039. The stand out international play is epic in its scope, yet at the same time exceptionally intimate.

Kicking off 3-D's 2014 musical theatre season, The Producers opened February 1, 2014 at 8:00 pm. Performances will continue in Fullerton through Sunday, February 16. 3DT will then move the production to the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center for its first season of 'extended' performances February 21 - March 2. After being honored by the prestigious LA Stage Alliance with 15 Ovation Award nominations and 5 wins (including Best Musical) for their 2013 production of Jason Robert Brown's Parade, 3DT's Executive Producer/Artistic Director T.J.
